My goal is to have EVERY child, regardless of their physical or financial situation, be offered the chance to run a Half Marathon at Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Florida. It is my intention that ShamRockersUSA becomes a national program by 2010 and an international program as shortly thereafter. ShamRockersIRE is beginning the initial stages of set-up ~ soon, young Irish Runners from our homeland, Ireland, will be offered the opportunity to run Half Marathons in their own country...and at Walt Disney World!

By becoming a Travel Professional with the very elite and prestigious MEI Travel and MouseFan Travel companies, I am ensuring that these young runners, who will eventually be arriving from all over the world to the Starting Line of the WDW Half Marathon each year, be given the best travel options by which to attend.
As we grow the Travel Club program, these young runners will join me in traversing the globe in search of Half Marathons in different countries, on different continents! Please join me, through a generous donation, to help offset their travel expenses as I expand their world through international travel.

One of my most proud moments will be when I am offered my very own Finisher's Medal for the 2009 Goofy Challenge at Walt Disney World in Orlando this coming January! To receive this outstanding and limited Gold Medal, I will need to have become a Finisher of both the Walt Disney World 2009 Half Marathon AND Full Marathon ~ back to back races that total 39.3 miles in just two days. This event is limited to only 4,000 runners each year and I am in for the challenge!!
