Our Mission Statement
ShamRockersUSA, Inc., a premier Teen Running and Travel Club, was created to coach kids about the physical determination required to cross a Finish Line and the fiscal responsibility of covering their expenses through skilled fundraising. As the creator of this program, I believe kids will not only develop better physical fitness habits but also a higher regard for themselves by becoming responsible young adults.
The original ShamRockers, the Elites, are seven young men from Sarasota, Florida who began training in January 2007 to run their first Half Marathon at Walt Disney World in January 2008.

Hey, why are races always called "5k" or "10k"...and how long is a marathon?
Great question!! Races are measured in kilometers (1,000 meters and a meter is roughly 3 feet).
1k = .62 miles 5k = 3.1 miles 10k = 6.2 miles 13k = 8.06 miles
Half Marathon = 13.1 miles Marathon = 26.2 miles
